VPS servers: managed or unmanaged
Three configurations with your own settings and your own IP, managed or unmanaged. We first check whether a VPS actually fits your situation.
The same hardware, different management. Choosing managed or unmanaged does not change RAM, storage or vCPU.
Unmanaged: you keep the server up to date
The same hardware configuration without server management: updates, security, backup setup and monitoring are yours. A fit if you have your own administrator or DevOps team.
What unmanaged means in practice
With unmanaged, the operating system, software, security updates, backup setup and recovery are your responsibility. We do not support your server configuration or application, and the standard management SLA does not apply. Root access, the extent of our responsibility and the escalation route are agreed per client.
The managed monthly amounts (€69/€99/€119) exclude VAT and include agreed server management and support. Unmanaged rates have not been set. Larger configurations are bespoke. These are not automatically confirmed Laravel total prices, which is why a VPS is not checked out online.
When does a VPS fit?
When you need a configuration tailored to your site or application, want your own settings or software, need your own IP address, or are outgrowing the standard environment. Have your own administrator or DevOps team? Then unmanaged is an option.
What we do not promise
A VPS is not automatically faster and does not mean exclusive physical CPU cores. Unmanaged is not a cheaper managed server: no management is included. New resource, uptime or scalability promises are only made once confirmed.
